Regret crawls with me to bed each night,

Stays with me longer than usual.

When I decided to leave you,

I struggled to find an excuse,

Because your heart was etched with love,

And loyalty was weaved in your soul.

For being the warmest hay that I came back to ever night,

Because after you, I realised

My eyes looked out for your compassion,
